Meditrax and the Altrax Group celebrate 30 Years in Healthcare in 2010 and along with its many partner companies, are the world leaders in the supply of sterile services traceability, accountability and management systems. Together we employ in excess of one hundred specialists and manage systems, both human and machine readable, in Australasia, Asia, the Middle East, USA, Europe and the UK. Meditrax has successfully installed numerous traceability systems in hospitals both small and large over the last thirty years, and since the launch of Traybax, the electronic IT sterile services management solution in 1993, the company has shown continual development with healthcare clients across the globe. One of the largest “Multi-Site” Traybax Installations to date is for the Australian Northern Territory public health system. This project links Traybax across the five main Territory hospitals and is serviced by a centrally located Server Centre in Darwin some eighteen hundred miles from the furthest hospital site, all linked by a fibre optic infrastructure. The architecture of Traybax enables a wide range of scalability making the system highly flexible for a broad range of sites, from a single CSSD to a large multiple site health authority. We aim to provide all our clients with an integrated solution for instrument tracking, and quality management needs and combined with a continuous support programme for the ongoing development of both the systems and the hospitals capability. The company is able to offer its clients the highest level of support and client care, now and in the future. In October 2008 we launched the latest generation of laser marking system and 2D matrix readers. The CFL Laser Marking System, which is at the forefront of marking technology, provides a robust unique mark (GS1 etc) on the surface of each instrument. This unique laser process minimises any potential of the instrument surface being compromised or the risk of harbouring bacteria which may occur with other technologies, leaving the integrity of the instrument in tact.
